Dear Colleague,

Craiova has been, on countless occasions, the host of high-level scientific events in the field of medicine. This time, with emotion and responsibility, on behalf of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova, I have the great pleasure to invite you to participate in the inaugural edition of the Congress Craiova Connects: Gastro & Reuma & Derma, April 7-9, 2022. Thus, you will participate in the launch of an event that we want to remain a landmark for the community we belong to.

Celebrating the World Health Day, the Congress will take place on April 7-9, 2022, in hybrid format: on-site at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova and online on a platform dedicated to medical-scientific events so as to ensure increased access for health professionals, lecturers and partners registered to the event's works as well as to the information materials provided on the site and / or in the exhibition area.

During the 3 days, the scientific topic will address topics of major interest not only for doctors of the three specialties, whom this first edition is dedicated to, but also for internists, family doctors, nurses and more, as can be seen from the preliminary scientific program.

The event will begin with "Hands on training", on April 7th, to support those interested in improving their skills in animal models digestive endoscopy and musculoskeletal ultrasound. Also, plenary meetings will be scheduled with the discussion of common topics of gastroenterology-rheumatology-dermatology, but also live broadcasts from the Center for Gastroenterology, the Center for Rheumatology, Plastic Surgery Theatre in collaboration with dermatology in parallel sessions on specialties.

We intend to continue the series of events held in hybrid format, to get as close as possible to the events with physical participation of yesteryear, respecting the limitations given by the pandemic context and we estimate that we will have an on-site audience of 400 people and online of more than 1000 people.

We proposed being joined by a trainer who has developed models of communication processes - Paul Olteanu, given that this congress, by connecting several specialties, aims at emphasizing the team work, multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment of the patient.

The University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova wishes to address issues related to: thinking patterns, the transition from individual to collaboration, improving communication in work teams, but also to the patient, streamlining personalized therapies following appropriate case management.
